We chose quite a fresh day to have a peak around Queensborough Harbour and it certainly blew away the cobwebs.
It is quirky little place which mixes bucket loads of history with lots of nooks and crannies to explore – it’s a stone’s throw from modern life but is able to make you feel like you gone back in time and could be anywhere on the Cornish coast.
Here’s where we parked:
There is very pretty little park across from the car park which has lots of maritime memorabilia and facilities too. Plus the pub,The Old House at Home, is dog friendly.
We explored all the way along the harbour until we couldn’t go any further and with our two little ones we managed to while away a couple of hours. It was an unexpected treat and we came away feeling like we’d had a mini holiday!
Pook and Os have given it nine paws out of ten as it wasn’t too far but had lots to discover and chicken was on the menu!
Oh, and if you are venturing that way, there is a collection bin in the car park for the Lord Whisky charity.
